Tristan Thompson, Solutions Architect, Rockpool Digital.
Tristan is Solutions Architect at independent digital agency, Rockpool Digital. His role includes the duties of both a senior developer as well as devising and overseeing the technical architecture of solutions. In addition he has allocated time to coach other team members and perform R&D. Rockpool works closely with clients on an ongoing basis, producing web applications and content managed web web sites using ASP.NET/SQL Server, Umbraco, Sitecore and Kentico as well as integrating with clients' back-end systems via web services, APIs and secure data file transfer. In 2011/12 Tristan was technical lead on the Red Bull Stratos web site (redbullstratos.com), where he devised and implemented an Umbraco solution which integrated with various third party systems to incorporate feeds from the mission capsule, weather systems, Twitter, Tumblr, Brightcove and YouTube via both Akamai and Cotendo CDNs More recently he has been technical lead on both the rebuild of the RAC Route Planner and their new RAC Car Passport product, both of which required extensive integration with third party services.
